Graduate Student Application
The Department of Entomology awards these graduate degrees:
- Master of Science (M.S.) in Entomology
- Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Entomology
To apply for our graduate studies program, the following items need to be submitted:
To complete the electronic application, please have your transcripts, GRE scores, TOEFL scores (for international students), recommenders' names and addresses, and your contact information available. (You will need these as you fill out the application form.)
- Application processing fee ($80 for Domestic and $100 for International applicants) If you are accepted into the Ph.D. program at UCR and attend, we will refund 100% of the application fee after you arrive and enroll.

- Applicant Statement of Purpose
- Supplementary Fellowship Information Form - Optional (Domestic applicants only)
- Official GRE Score Report sent directly from Educational Testing Service (Scores cannot be older than 5 years at the time you would enter UCR if admitted)
- 3 Letters of Recommendation
- Official Transcripts
- International Student Confidential Financial Statement (International Applicants Only)
- TOEFL Score Report (International applicants only - Scores cannot be older than 2 years at the time you would enter UCR if admitted)
Admission decisions cannot be granted until all required documentation is received.
